Happy New Year

Posted by Clare Brookes on Saturday, January 2, 2016,

Happy New Year everyone!

Last year I wanted to do a drawing a day, but I was not very well so it came to an early end n February. However I've worked hard to do a drawing or a sketch or a design most days, and I've felt much better on the days that I've drawn something.

So. This year I'm going to try again: to set myself an new art year's resolution, and to draw every day. I'm starting with portraits. There are a few I have been wanting to do for a while. Also I think some animal portraits will...

Illustration Friday "Rescue"

Posted by Clare Brookes on Friday, August 30, 2013,

It also has other cool properties outside of the art sphere - like it can naturally split into sheets up to 0.025mm thick and still retain it's brilliant heat and electrical insulative properties!!

I have also some gorgeous gold mica flake paint here it is on one ...

a concert in the rain...

Posted by Clare Brookes on Monday, June 24, 2013,
It's been a fabulous weekend in Faerie Land! The bijoux girl and I both have colds and coughs now but, our house is now really clean and organised, we've seen lots of our family and friends, had a kids party. I went to Westonbirt Aboretum with my very lovely young man. The best part of the weekend for me was crying in the rain to this song

It rained on us so much! Our freezing hands were warmed up by deeeelicious hot chocolate, pastries and coffee.

xx have a simply gorgeous week xx faerie clare xx
