The rain finally stopped after nearly a week of torrential downpour. I took my little girl for a piggyback along the beach. Everyone was out, the beach was packed (for Sawtell) I think we'd all been desperate to get out and see our beloved beach. You can bearly avoid living round here without being affected by the pull of the beach! In front of the surf club the beach had been carved away by the water leaving a ledge (inhabited by a dead fish - fascinating conversation for a 3 year old) further down the beach was a blue-purple tideline of bluebottles and indigo snail shells. We collected some beautiful white shells and a grey-blue cowry, and it started to drizzle again as we headed home. The best half hour I have spent in a long time! xx
